    Maximum file size supported for screensaver in windows


    Please let me know the maximum file size supported for screensaver .scr file in windows because am having screensaver of file size 26 MB but the screensaver is not showing after wait timeout period.


    Also please let me know if any Microsoft windows article regarding screensaver file size limitation.

    I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

    • Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
    • Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
    • Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
    • Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.Maximum file size supported for screensaver in windows :)

    Set minimum and maximum to a constant number as suggested by others, that will help reduce fragmentation on the drive coz of different page file sizing.
