Hi, I have anAcer Nitro AN517-51Intel® Core™ i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHzIntel® UHD Graphics 630NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Tirunning on Windows 11Up to last Saturday, 22nd of October, I could use my laptop normally and play games on it. Then all of a sudden my game crashed and when I tried to restart it, my laptop crashed upon trying to start the game again. This issue soon proofed to be the case for other games from other platforms as well as for DaVinci Resolve. I often got a blue screen error called VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE. Sometimes the laptop would keep on crashing while restarting and then all of a sud

The VIDEO_TDR_ ERROR bug check has a value of 0x00000116. This indicates that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed.

The most common reason for this issue is that the graphics device is being overloaded or used beyond its capabilities.



This happens most often when playing graphic intensive games, but can happen with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, such as when editing or creating videos.



I would suggest you to download the latest graphics card drivers from the manufacturer website and install it in compatibility mode. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

  Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
  
• 
  Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘Properties’.
  
• 
  Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

  Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

I suggest you to update your graphic drivers from the device manager and check if it helps.

To update the graphicsdrivers from device manager please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapter.
• Right click on the graphic card and select Update Driver Software.
  

If issue persist, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the graphic card drivers
in the compatibility mode and check if it helps.



Compatibility moderuns the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.



Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility
mode and check if that helps.

• Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
  ‘properties’.
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box

component in Windows. What happens is the Graphics Display driver for the installed graphics card stops responding. When this happens, windows will stop and restart the driver to fix the problem.

I would suggest you to download and Install the latest graphic card drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check.

If the issue persists, You can install Windows 8 drivers in compatibility mode if there are no Windows 10 compatible drivers.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode.

  Download the updated driver from the manufacturer’s website.
  
• 
  Right click the driver installation file and select
  Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
  
• 
  Place a check in the
