Windows 10: MBR/BCD corrupted/missing can't do bootrec /fixboot or /rebuildbcd

Hello,I don't know exacly what's the problem with my PC but I tryed everthing but the guides out there doesn't fit my problem or my exact system file structure.First off, all of a sudden the PC won't launch W10, it launch BIOS and there it says theres no booteable devices. I thought maybe the cables/sata ports are the problem but not, tryed new cables, different ports, nothing. Thing is BIOS detect the disc, but seems the MBR or something is missing.I tryed using an USB to repair the windows launch but nothing the "Autorepare Windows Launch" thing option does not help at all, it just says it

As per the description, I suggest that you follow the steps below to fix BCD

1. Right click on the Start Menu and select Command Prompt (Admin)

2. Here type/paste the commands listed below

Bootrec /fixMBR

Bootrec /fixBoot

Bootrec /RebuildBcd

3. Once done restart the PC and check.

Element not found for each fixboot and rebuild bcd, RAW recovery

Please explain the current problem:

The boot is normal.

Bootrec /fixboot and bootrec /rebuildbcd display Element not found

What are the significance of both a normal boot while the elements are not found?

When there is a failure to boot the goal is to get a normal boot.

When there is a normal boot with fixboot and rebuildbcd displaying element not found is the goal to have it display the operation completed successfully?

How come rebuildbcd displayed 1 installation found outside the store and then element not found when typing A or Y?
If it had displayed 0 installation wouldn't you then run the attrib command?
The 1 installation found outside the store is malfunctioning?

If a boot repair had been performed at any time with ren C:\boot\bcd bcd.old would the same command be able to be run again and again? Or would it have to be modified to another name such as ren C:\boot\bcd bcd.old1?

Should the attrib command be able to only fix bcd or should it also fix bootrec /fixboot element not found?
Will the bcd fix also fix the fixboot or will that require additional fixes?
Or could the fixboot displaying element not found interfere with fixing bcd?

Does anything need to be marked active for EFI?

Setupdiag displayed system boot failure somewhere in the Windows upgrade process.
Somehow it upgraded to Windows 1909 and booted to splash and logon.
After logon there was a black screen with a left upper corner box displaying Personal settings.


For efi partitions what is the pro and con of running the attrib command versus formatting and replacing the EFI partition? Is one less or more risky than the other if there is no backup image? Why not always run something similar to:
bcdboot c:\windows /l en-us /s V:/F?
