    Respected Everyone.... i want to convert my disk 0 from MBR to GPT , i first tried to validate using mbr2gpt tool and the validation showed " Disk layout validation failed for disk 0" but i currently run windows 21h1. The other part of the error was that it showed "Unrecognized partition found, index 2" , and i am a huge noob and i am scared to lose any files as they are important , so please anyone help me and at the same time helping me navigating through the errors a huge thanks in advance.A note of the particular error that popped up in the log file Type:

    MBR2GPT

    if it states 'enabled'

    please try this:

    in an elevated command prompt

    run

    reagentc /disable

    & if this is successful

    run

    reagent /enable

    if this is succesful also

    try

    MBR2GPT /validate /allowfullos

    to verify if the issue is resolved a you're ready to go for the conversion

    Sir,

    I appreciate your help but

    It requires pro edition for the function,the conversion is not possible on the free edition.Is there any way to use the system provided
    mbr2gpt tool and I wish to know why the
    validation failed?
