    mbr2gpt. exe failing


    I'm trying to get ready for a windows 10 > 11 upgrade by first getting my OS drive from MBR to GPT. Using the mbr2gpt tool, I'm booting in PE then running: mbr2gpt.exe /validate /disk:3However, I get the error "Disk layout validation failed for Disk 3" I reviewed the checklist but I'm just not sure what I'm not hitting. The OS is on my nvme drive.

    Sir,

    I appreciate your help but

    It requires pro edition for the function,the conversion is not possible on the free edition.Is there any way to use the system provided
    mbr2gpt tool and I wish to know why the
    validation failed?

    MBR2GPT Error - Frustrated

    I think those steps will fail because mbr2gpt is looking for a system partition, which you just deleted previously.
