Windows 10: MBR2GPT not working

    MBR2GPT not working


    I have run into some major issues in the past 10 hours regarding my PC. I was trying to enable xmp profiles in bios but realized I had CSM running.When I went and looked at disk management, it turns out my boot drive NVME is MBR. I also have two additional NVMEs, one MBR and one GPT somehow.With a quick google search I found mbr2gpt.exe, but immediately ran into problems. It wouldn’t validate since it couldn’t find a recovery partition. I went to add a recovery partition, and succeeded, but it also didn’t work entirely right and I couldn’t give it an ID with command prompt. This resulted in

    Hi y'all,

    I just got new GPU and wanna enable Rebar and I need drives to be GPT and MBR2GPT tool isn't working and yes I tried reinstalling windows didn't work.

    Here is error:
    MBR2GPT: Attempting to validate disk 2
    MBR2GPT: Retrieving layout of disk
    MBR2GPT: Validating layout, disk sector size is: 512 bytes
    Disk layout validation failed for disk 2

    MBR2GPT Error - Frustrated

    I think those steps will fail because mbr2gpt is looking for a system partition, which you just deleted previously.
