Windows 10: McAfee intrusion

Every day I am interrupted by McAfee with daily notifications across my screen saying they have detected a virus and to sign up with them. I have NEVER been a customer of McAfee and would like these nuisances to stop. Is there a way I can ban them from my pc. They send many different alerts mainly saying I have virus infections and that my subscription has expired. These notifications appear at least 4 times every day. I have Windows 10. Thank you.

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. I would suggest you to un-install/re-install McAfee and check.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Programs and features, right click on the
  McAfee and select uninstall it.
  
• 
  Now install it again.
