Windows 10: Mcafee says data leaked because of Trojan

Hello There I got an email from Mcafee that says your data got leaked.I logged into my Mcafee account and saw my leaked data in the dashboard. I pressed on one of the Passwords that got leaked and it was mine. It sad at the top of the Dashboard your Data got leaked by a Windows Trojan. I ran virus scans and nothing was found. I just have one Main computer that im using. I am scared of login into any account and thinking that my Passwords get leaked somewhere in the internet. please help me LG Andrea If you see some Spelling mistakes, just tell me im still learning English and so isn’t my gram

McAfee popups

Hi, if you get an indication that your AV has detected a virus, you should take that seriously. Don't simply uninstall the AV or disable it.

You say

- do you mean it's disabled? (Many functions will be if you have a 3rd party AV installed).

- did nothing happen at all, or did it start to uninstall, or what?

Are you even sure you have McAfee AV installed- or do you have one of their other products - see those listed here:

If McAfee is damaged in some manner you could try to uninstall it. Here are two ways:

Methods 1 & 2.
Method 2 uses a separate tool you download. Most AV's have such a tool.

If you do that you should find Defender is fully enabled again, and you should ensure it's up to data and run a full scan.

 

Trojan in My Registry

For the last definitive time, there is no virus.
It was a scam, a (fake?) company who wants to charge you for removing something that isn't there.
