    Mcafee updated slowed down everything


    I purchased a brand new laptop Monday 1/18/2021, recieved it Tuesday. Worked amazingly. Super fast, just great all around. Wednesday night, I get a notification that McAfee needs to update. I made the mistake up allowing the laptop to restart in order to do the update. Ever since, I can't do a thing. I've tried to a restore/recovery, doesn't allow me. Can't open settings. Attempted to uninstall via add/remove programs. Let's me select the program, click uninstall. After a few minutes, the screen does that faded black and normally, a box would come up to confirm the uninstall. Nothing. Just pops back to normal.


    I've been at this for nearly 24 hours and I'm no where.

    Mcafee updated slowed down everything

    Windows 10 1903 and McAfee Compatibility

    Check with McAfee for an updated version that does work with Ver 1903.

    I suggest uninstalling McAfee, doing the Ver 1903 update then re-installing McAfee / installing the new McAfee version.
