    MDR2GPT Application Can convert System SSD from MBR to GPT without Data Loss


    I am in the process of installing Windows 11 on my newly updated PC. Currently running WIN 10 PRO Latest version. OS SSD is MDR. Otherwise fully compatible with WIN 11. I need to convert the OS SSD to GPT. I see that Microsoft has an app MDR2GPT that claims to convert the OS SDD from MDR to GPT without loss of data or applications to allow installation of WIN11. Is this the case?

    Convert MBR to GPT without data loss?

    You can use AOEMI Partition Assistant, a freeware that allows you to
    convert MBR to GPT without data loss    . If you want to have a 100% security, you can backup your whole disk with the brother product - AOMEI Backupper.

    Convert MBR to GPT without data loss?

    Hi there,

    You can use the software Active@ Partition Manager to convert from MBR to GPT, this software is free to use.

    My understanding is that it does this without data loss (I have done so on a test server, creating an MBR drive, filling it with data and then converting to GPT without any documents disappearing)
