measure sound level of what I hear in my headset

I'd like to measure the sound level of what I hear in my BlueTooth headset. So far my search for an application has only found applications that use the mic on the PC and this is NOT the sound source I want to measure. For example, I received a link to a YouTube video and a recording of the same video. I need to measure the YouTube audio level and then measure the audio level in the application used to record the file. After measuring the two I can then compare the levels and determine how close they are to the max volume levels.

    Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue measure sound level of what I hear in my headset :p

    Good surround sound headset

I appreciate it I was more looking to see if anyone knows something that can fit my bill in that budget. Trust me I know all about the $300 range and even considered audio technica m50x with a condenser mic *Stick Out Tongue measure sound level of what I hear in my headset :p
