Windows 10: Media controls do not function until another key is pressed.

I have had an Acer Predator 18 running Windows 11 for a while now and have discovered this weird behavior with the built in media control keys on the keyboard play/pause and skip. The keys will not register key presses if I have not been using the keyboard for a while. I am not sure how long is needed before the keys become unresponsive. However, if it has been long enough without any keystrokes, pressing the pause or skip key will not be detected. What is interesting is that upon the next key press of a "normal" keyboard key, the previously selected action will take place. All keys on the k

• Tap F2 ( Function Key).
• Then type the name and enter.

There are several factors why you are unable to use the shortcut keys function such as keyboard settings, or if there is an issue with the keyboard itself. To help you resolve this, kindly try the following suggestions:

• You might have selected an input language other than English. To work around with this, go to
  Control Panel > Region and Language and check. You can also check if your keyboard has a language selection available that may need to be changed.
• We suggest as well that you reset the keyboard layout by reinstalling the language and check if it fixes the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows+R keys and type intl.cpl. Hit Enter.
  
• Go to Administrative tab and click on
  Change system locale button.
• Select the correct language and country from the drop-down box.
• Navigate to the location tab and check if region settings are appropriate.
• Apply the changes and Windows will require a reboot.

No effect upon pressing <fn> and a function key

I have an ASUS laptop, K52JC, it used to perform certain function when combination of <fn> key and a function key are pressed simultaneously. For example -

• Pressing <fn> and <F10> simultaneously will mute the sound
  
• Pressing <fn> and <F11> simultaneously will decrease the volume
  
• Pressing <fn> and <F12> simultaneously will increase the volume, and so forth
  

I have its Windows 10 re-installed recently. Everything works fine after the installation, except when combination of <fn> key and a function key are pressed simultaneously, no effect seems to be generated, as the computer does not respond accordingly.

Please advise how to resolve the above problem.
