Windows 10: Media creation tool and windows version detection

My question is will the Media Creation Tool automatically detect what version of windows i have? I have windows 10 pro on myn and i got the 4gb iso file, but it only gave me one option for Edition that just said windows 10, The other iso i want to get off another computer says it's windows 10 refurb edition or something like that, Will the media creation tool automatically detect that aswell and create the appropriate iso?


Also will i need to reenter the product key? (which thankfully i wrote down) or will that iso have the activation information stored within the iso for that particular computer.


I'm trying to install multiple versions of windows recovery iso's of my family's computers to one 32gb flash drive just incase something goes wrong with them, (one of them needs a hard drive replaced so i might aswell create recovery's for all) I'm assuming using the media creation tool

The Windows Media Creation Tool allows you to download the Windows 10 ISO directly from Microsoft, without having a product key. You can use it to clean install or upgrade to Windows 10. It can also be use to download the different editions of Windows 10.
