    Media Creation Tool Error Code 0x80042405-0xa001a


    What causes 0x80042405-0xa001a error at 50% during creating Windows 10 Media on USB flash drive when running the Media Creation Tool? I have Windows 10 April 2018 Update and need to update the installation media.

    Media Creation Tool Error code 0x80042405 - 0xA001A

    So this is my second time trying to download Windows 10 to USB with 32GB of storage so there is a lot of space available.

    But when it gets to 100% with downloading it gives me this message:

    There was a problem running this tool. We're not sure what happened, but we're unable to run this tool on your PC. If you continue experiencing problems, reference the error when contacting customer support. Error code 0x80042405 - 0xA001A

    Can someone please help me with this? Should I rather download it as an ISO and then burn it to the USB using a different program? Or download it on a different PC?

    Media Creation Tool Error Code 0x80042405-0xa001a

    Media Creation Tool error.

    Everytime my Media Creation Tool tries to create USB with Windows 10 install it pops up error 0x80042405 -- 0xA001A . Its after 100% complete download and creating media is around 50% + then it pops up . We are sorry but you have to contact technical support
    error : 0x80042405 -- 0xA001A.
