Windows 10: media creation tool finished downloading win10 and after told me to restart

media creation tool finished downloading win10 and checked for compatibility after that it told me to restart my pc, i closed the media creation tool and opened it again but it just told me to restart, so i did and i opened it again and it just started downloading again, the first download used up about 6gb and its still taking space.

• Download folder on your PC or the set path folder of the browser.

How to make Windows 10 Media Creation tool finish & not disappear

When running the Windows Media Creation tool it seems to disappear and not finish. How do I get the tool to finish and complete the upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10 on my computer?

The steps I take are to:
Run the tool
Choose upgrade my pc
then the Downloading Windows 10 completes ( takes a bit of time )
Then it completes the Verifying Download ( relatively quick )
Then when it goes to Creating Windows 10 media it will get halfway and
Then the window disappears
I've had this happen over 5 times now. I've tried clean booting also.

How do I get the tool to complete and upgrade my pc to win 10?

I have a HP ENVY x2 Detachable PC 13. it comes initially with Windows 8.1 and i upgrade it to Windows 10. i have a problem with the screen rotation and HDMI. i contacted HP and they guided me to use the Media Creation Tool to upgrade my machine. i downloaded
the media creation tool and selected upgrade this PC. it finished downloading and verifying. Nothing happens after the verification (no restart nor upgrading steps).

what should i do next.
