Windows 10: Media player cannot find album info with Commercial CD's

So just yesterday I borrowed Simon & Garfunkel's entire Discography from my local library and- what Ive found is my windows media player does not retrieve any album info or its album cover for that matter.Thus far ive tried Deleting its cache, reinstalling the media player, checking firewall permissions, removing "pmpMusicMatch" from TunerConfig in regedit, and installing "Media Feature Pack for N and KN versions of Windows 10"All of which have yielded me no results and I am left without an album cover on the music.

Media Player - 'find album info' not working

Hello

This past month, Media Player has ceased being able to locate album information for audio CDs. It used to work, but now it doesn't. When I request that it finds album info, the Internet Explorer 'website cannot be found' error is displayed.

The CDs I am using are normal commercial CDs - nothing that I have personally created.

Please how I can resolve this

Automatic retrieving of media/cd info for Windows 10 Media Player

Good day,

I am ripping my cd's through Windows Media Player. It's commercial cd's I bought. I have to type in all the information as media player fail to obtain any media info automatically. I have tried the option "Find album info" but to no avail. My internet is
constantly on so it could not be a connection problem. Please help!!

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

For Windows Media Player to automatically get info about the songs, such as the name of the CD, the artist, and titles for the tracks being ripped, the system should be connected to the internet.

Method 1:

You can run the Windows Media Player Settings and Windows Media Player Library troubleshooter from:

1. Open control panel > Search for
   Troubleshooting.
   
2. Click on View all
   at the right pane.
   
3. Search for Windows Media Player Settings and
   Windows Media Player Library troubleshooter and run each of them.
   

Method 2:

If you get an error message when you try to find album info that says you need to change your privacy settings, select
Organize, select Options, select the
Privacy tab, and then select the Update music files by retrieving media info from the Internet check box.

Burn and rip CDs and look for the topic
Add or edit media info after ripping.
