Media Player don't want to keep my music into it's library

Hello there,I have a strange issue with the new Media Player v.11.2212.31.0 who replaced Groove Music. When I start it, it says that there is no music found. So, in the settings, I selected the folder where my music is. Then I have to click on "Refresh" for my music to be added on the player. The issue is now, when I exit the player and launch it again, all the music and albums will be removed after few seconds, for I dunno what reason...So I have to refresh again, via settings, if I want the music back on the player.Am I the only one with this bug/issue ??

    :)

    • Click the Organize button, then Manage libraries.
    • On the drop-down menu, select the appropriate media (ex. Music).
    • Select the folder you want to add to your library.
    • Click Add, then OK.

  3. Windows 11 Media Player - Sort Music by Folders unavailable but is available for video library?

Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Saeid. I'll be happy to help you out today. You can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulty with the Windows 11 Media Player.

To sort your music library by folders in the Media Player, you can follow these steps:

    1-Open Windows Media Player.

2-Click on the "Music" tab to access your music library.

3-Click on the "Library" button in the top-left corner of the Media Player window.

4-Select "Manage libraries" from the drop-down menu.

5-Click on "Music" in the list of library locations.

    6-Click the "Modify" button.

7-Check the box next to "Add folders to library".

    8-Click the "OK" button.

9-Browse to the folder you want to add and select it.

10-Repeat steps 7-9 for any additional folders you want to add.

11-Click the "OK" button to close the "Music Library Locations" window.

12-Click the "Folders" button in the top-right corner of the Media Player window.

13-Select "By folder" from the drop-down menu.

Once you have completed these steps, your music library should be sorted by folders.

As for the error you're receiving when trying to play videos, error code 0x800700EA typically indicates that there is an issue with the video driver or graphics card. I would suggest checking for updates for your video driver or graphics card and installing any available updates.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.

Media Player don't want to keep my music into it's library

    Windows Media Player.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to check the ‘Windows Media Player’ settings from the steps below.

    1. Open the ‘Windows Media Player’, in the player ‘Library’, click on ‘Organize’.
    2. Select ‘Options’, this will open the ‘Options’ window for the ‘Windows Media Player’.
    3. Click on the ‘Library’ tab, please confirm if the ‘Retrieve additional information from the Internet’ is checked, check the options ‘Rename music files using rip music settings’ and ‘Rearrange music in rip
music folder, using rip music settings’ under ‘Automatic media information updates for files’. Click on ‘Apply’.
    4. Click on the ‘Player’ tab and check the option ‘Connect to the Internet’. Click on apply.
    5. Restart the ‘Windows Media Player’ and check if it works out for you.
    Hope it helps.
