Windows 10: Media Player Error Code: 0x88890023

I have been recording video lectures through PowerPoint, and up until yesterday have always been able to view them on Media Player. Now when I go to view the videos the same videos that worked yesterday I get the error code: 0x88890023 with the message "We can't open X. It uses unsupported coding settings". Ths same video worked yesterday...Any suggestions?

I cannot get my media player files "Error 0x80070003 on media player. "We can't get to your storage right now. Wait a bit then try again later" I already tried the recommendations listed in a previous question on the site but nothing I tried worked. Someone suggested to rewrite codes but I don't know how to do that.

check mark on Windows Media Player.

I suggest you to run the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter, please refer to the steps below:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

  Run the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter.
  

Method 2: Reinstall Windows Media player

I suggest you uninstall and reinstall the Windows Media Player and check. Refer to these steps:

  Press Windows Key +X, select Programs and Features.
  
• 
  Click on Turn Windows features ON or OFF on the left panel.
  
• 
  Expand Media Features and uncheck the box against Windows Media Player.
  
• 
  Click OK and restart if prompted. Follow the same procedure and check the box against Windows Media Player to reinstall.
