Windows 10: Media Player in Windows 10 - disappeared this afternoon

I'm running a Windows 10 PC and all of a sudden, this afternoon, when I went to the start button to start Media Player not the older Windows Media Player it has totally disappeared and Groove Music has reappeared in its place it also replaced Media Player in the Taskbar. I went to the Microsoft Store and Media player still appears there showing "Installed" - when I click on it and open it from there, it takes me straight back to Groove Music! Any ideas how to get Media player back??

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

We suggest you to try this method and check for the issue.

Run the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter
and check, if the issue persists.

Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

a. Press “Windows key” on your keyboard.

b. Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting under Settings.

c. Now select Programs in the search option.

d. Under Media Player, select Windows Media Player Settings
to run the troubleshooter.
