Windows 10: media player photos slide show speed

I have been trying to change the speed of photos in media player but when I move the slider it just goes back to the default time and does not change the speed.

Windows media player - can't find how to switch off slide show

Hi, I have Windows 10 with Windows media player that is up to date. I have only just started to use it and get to know the functions
Simple question - when I view a list of photos it is in slide show mode. Where do I turn this off as I wish to manually click to show the next photo. Can't seem to find any documented help.

changing the timing of a slide show in Windows Media Player 12

I used the slide show widget in Windows 7. Now I have windows 10. I want to have a small window (not full screen or background) slide show where the pictures show for about 30 seconds. The Windows Media Player seems to be the only software that allows
me to make a small window slide show, but the picture timing is too short. I have seen previous posts with this question (that are closed) but the linked answers did not appear to provide the needed information. Is there a better way to do this? If not,
is there a way to adjust the slide show timing in Windows Media Player 12? Thank you

Have you tried running the troubleshooter for WMP? If not, we suggest that you try to run the troubleshooter and
see if it helps. To run the troubleshooter, follow these steps:

• 
  On the search bar, type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on
  Programs.
  
• 
  Under
  Media
  Player, click on
  Windows Media Player Settings
  and
  Windows Media Player Library.
