Windows 10: Media streaming options not there

I just turned on my new laptop. One of my first things to do was to try and share files to my iPad. I went to Network and sharing. Media streaming options isn't there. What do I do? I need to be able to stream/share from my laptop to other devices.

There's another way on how you can turn on the Media Streaming option in your Windows 10 device. Here's how:

• Launch Windows Media Player.
• Click on Stream and choose Turn on media streaming.
• A new window will pop up. Click on the Turn on media streaming button.

If the option is still not available, we suggest creating a new user profile with administrator privileges to check if the option will appear.

Once you have verified that the option is available in the newly created user profile, you can transfer your data from the old user account to the newly created one.

Media Streaming Options

With Windows 10 media streaming options, is it possible to stream video to multiple devices, i.e., smart TVs connected to the same network via ethernet cable? In other words, if I play a video on my computer (either on the hard drive or via the internet)
can I stream this to multiple smart TVs simultaneously if they are connected to the same network? Is it just a matter of placing a check in the checkboxes on media streaming options for all devices seen by the utility?

Ok. having a little difficulty with media streaming after reinstall.

My media features are on. the homegroup/network runs as it should. (file sharing) i can see all the devices in my network. but when i go to choose a media streaming option. there is nothing in the list.

i have tried reinstall of media player. heck even fiddled with the reg edit to force it to work. but nothing.





im stumped. thoughts on how to solve this so kiddies can watch movies on the tv?
