Windows 10: MEDIUM desktop icons move to secondary monitor

okayso right clicked display settings - view using extended display - show desktop icons is checkedwhen I choose icon sizesmall icons show on primary laptoplarge and extra large icons show on primarymedium icons move to the secondary monitor???this is on "extend monitor display" kinda the point of having more than oneI can drag them back to primary - but I hate to think what that will do when I only use my laptop as a single monitorOKAY - so now - in playing around - the medium icons are on my primary laptop display yay!, but now the small icons move to the secondary display AND ctrl+

Desktop Icons Moved to Secondary Monitor

After the last update/restart cycle of Win 10, all the desktop icons moved to the secondary monitor. Yes, I can manually move them back but that is not a valid option. So many things do NOT WORK in Win 10. I hate having to debug your software!

Windows & desktop icons on secondary monitor are moved to primary monitor after standby

I had been using 2 monitors with the same resolution (1280x1024) without issues. I recently replaced my primary monitor with a 1920x1080 monitor. Every time the system wakes up from standby everything from the secondary monitor is moved to the primary monitor.
Strangely enough, the desktop icons and the windows (explorer & applications) are not always moved.

I have already tried to delete corrupted registry entries as stated in
this thread. There were 3 monitors listed with different resolutions. That did nothing.

System specs:

OS: Windows 7 pro (64-bit)

Video card: AMD R7 260X

primary monitor cable: DVI

secondary monitor cable: DVI output -> VGA adaptor
