Windows 10: "Meet Now" reappears on system tray with each update

I specifically chose to have "Meet Now" hidden because I never use any of its offerings. With each Windows update, it reappears on the system tray.

1. Why would Microsoft repeatedly push this in one's face? Doesn't hiding it mean anything?
2. Is there a way to permanently hide it?

There are several reasons why this issue happens. To help you resolve this concern, we suggest that you adjust the height of the system tray. Kindly follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the system tray.
• Make sure that the Lock all taskbars
  option is unchecked.
• Try positioning your cursor at the top edge of the system tray until you see a vertical line with arrows at both tips.
  
• Hold the left mouse button down and drag the edge of the system tray upward to expand it.

One possible reason why the software icon is missing on the system tray from your desktop is may be due to missing or corrupted system files. In order for us to isolate the issue, we'd like to ask the following:

• We'd like to clarify, which Windows update are you referring? Is it Fall Creators Update?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
• Are you getting any error messages before or after setting your program to show up in the system tray?

System tray tooltips disappear randomly (Win 10)

I have a Surface Pro 4 with Win 10. My system tray tooltips (the info that pops up when hovering over a system tray icon) seem to disappear and then may reappear upon reboot. Anyone else experiencing this and if so, have you found a solution? In perusing
Google, the suggestion is a Win 10 Bug.

Can anyone from Microsoft perhaps verify this?
