Windows 10: Memory issues and power drain on 1 year old laptop

I am aware this question is incorrectly labelled. It will not let me select the windows option.Running a 1 year old acer swift 3, windows 11, new when purchased. For most of the time I’ve had it there have been memory issues, with over 50% of memory used when no programs are running, sometimes over 80%.Originally, the problem would always resolve for a few weeks when I reinstalled my graphics driver, but this no longer works. The battery now drains 100 to 0 in less than three hours of no programs open except word. I have run full antivirus, checked task manager for what may be causing the memo

I replaced my HDD with an SSD (and placed the HDD on the optical drive bay) a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that even if I shut my laptop down, I still would have a drained battery the next time I power it on. If I do not connect my laptop to a power source for a day (still shut down of course), the battery would be fully drained. I shrugged it off as a battery problem but recently I brought my laptop to travel somewhere and once opened my laptop bag, it was warm. It was only then I noticed that even though I shut the laptop down, a little led is still on indicating something has not completely powered down.

My bet is that it is the HDD on the optical drive still sucking power but is there a way to know what is completely draining my battery?

I would suggest you to contact your manufacturer regarding the battery issue. As of now you can power drain your laptop and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below:

• 
  Disconnect the AC Adapter.
  
• 
  Remove the Battery.
  
• 
  Hold the Power button down for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  
• 
  Reconnect the AC adapter.
  
• 
  Turn on the laptop power.

Now, if the above recommendations did not help, I suggest you to consider the following important steps and check whether it helps.

1. Access BIOS and restore all defaults and reboot

Refer to the manufacturer provided manual and check for the relevant information on BIOS settings.

2. Power Drain

• Detach the battery from the laptop and hold the power button for few moments until the power discharges to the fullest.
• Put the battery back on and restart the laptop normally
