Memory Leak: the 'unused memory' is abnormal with active status in RAMMap tool.

I've met a memory problem. In TaskManager the memory used almost 99%, but the sumary memory of all processes is less than 40%. The system becomes very slow. And I use RAMMap tool, the result is as below:The abnormal usage is the 'Unused' with active status. Meanwhile, the usage of 'page table' is too big too.Can anyone help me to fix the issue?

    :)

    Memory leak issue

The term "memory leak" means that an application fails to return all its RAM to the operating system when it exits. The leftover RAM is unusable to the operating system.

Step one is to identify the application that is leaking memory. Step two is to contact the application's developers and provide as much detailed data on the memory leak as you can. For example: which processes are still in RAM after the application exits
and how much RAM they occupy. Application developers never want their applications to leak memory and they will be grateful for the details you provide, particularly if they can replicate the leak on their own computers.

  3. Memory problem with unreleased "Unused" memory

    Good morning.

I am running an Intel i7 with 16 GB physical RAM on a gigabyte UD99x mainboard (Nvidia 970, Bitdefender 2018). After having the computer running for less than an hour, my memory usage is in the 95-99% range, but the applications/processes amount to max.
5-6 GB RAM. After reading about RAMMAP in this forum, I used it to understand where the memory is going to, as I couldn't identify a single process/app to cause the issue.

It seems that my PC doesn't release its "Unused" memory, at least that is what I have figured from the RAMMAP picture (I am not an expert, sadly).

If I use RAMMAP's "empty" features, I can release 10% or so, but those components are quickly used again - moving my RAM usage back to 99%.

I have tried to find a clue using google, but nothing has come up. I have already updated all drivers, de-activated programs, cleaned my startup apps.

What can I do to release the "active unused" memory and to make sure that it is not going to happen again?

    Thank you!

Memory Leak: the 'unused memory' is abnormal with active status in RAMMap tool.

Possible Memory Leaks in Windows 10

A memory leak occurs when an application closes and fails to release all its RAM back to the operating system.

The first step in dealing with a memory leak is to determine which application is leaking memory.

The next step is to contact that application's technical support with complete details of the memory leak, since the developers will want to fix the problem ASAP.
