    It has been ~5 years since Windows 10 was released, and up until now I can't seem to find a solution that works. I've scoured through the internet (superuser, tenforums, reddit, you name it) with no avail. How is this even possible?

    I've never ever had this issue before with windows 7: The percentage of used memory was always in par with the total sum of each program running--nothing hidden.

    I've made a clean install of windows 10 build 1809 LSTC. Downloaded all the drivers from the manufacturer's website. I have no wifi killer thingamajig. No bloatware installed, no antivirus, no nothing. I have 8 gigs of ram.

    To those who'll say "Memory not used= Waisted memory". Just No. I can literally see my laptop slowing down when the percentage reaches~80% , and, again, the total sum of the memory used by each program and windows services would be less than 80%. I get warning messages saying I am running out of memory, Chrome crashing, programs closing,.... This is more than enough evidence that there is a problem.

    I never had this problem with windows 7. Did Microsoft even acknowledge of the existence of this issue? I'm truly lost. Your guidance will be more than welcome.

    Possible Memory Leaks in Windows 10

    A memory leak occurs when an application closes and fails to release all its RAM back to the operating system.

    The first step in dealing with a memory leak is to determine which application is leaking memory.

    The next step is to contact that application's technical support with complete details of the memory leak, since the developers will want to fix the problem ASAP.

    Window 10 memory leak

    Never could find the leak. Made the computer useless after about 6 hours. Went back to Windows 7. I think the leak is still there, but it is much slower, so the computer runs for weeks without running out of memory.

    HidBthLE.dll - memory leak

    @Sagie, some answers- (updated)

    • Yes, the new drivers fix the memory leak on Windows 10.
    • There isn't a plan to publish a fix for Window 8 at this time.
    • Appreciate your digging into the drivers involved! Sorry, but simply copying over those files from Windows 10 to a Windows 8 PC is not expected to result in a functional experience.

    A question - I respect your choice/wish to continue to use Windows 8 on your PC, but if you're OK doing so, can you share any specific (e.g. technical) reasons for which you would prefer to not upgrade to Windows 10?

    Thanks
