  2. Desktop grid has appeared on a Viewsonic monitor.

I was requested to provide a screen shot, which would be the best way to show the problem. The grid generally only occurs on the desktop at startup and for a period of time thereafter. Right now it is not there so I provide a screen shot. I will do that
later and return with the screen shot when it occurs at startup.

Viewsonic answered, but I doubt their resolution will work. If I access the driver for the monitor there is no way to delete it, as it is grayed out.

Further, their statement is that the monitor will get its drivers at startup from Microsoft. If that's the case what good is a driver from Viewsonic, as it seems to me it would be overwritten. I fail to see how to overcome this.

The way I see it, if Microsoft is the responsible party, and affected my monitor, it is up to Microsoft to provide an update without this particular issue. Also, if Microsoft does another update am I going to face the same issue again?

Please provide your opinion and where I might err on the driver update issue.

  3. Desktop grid has appeared on a Viewsonic monitor.

This is just after a Windows 10 update. I've tried monitor settings. That doesn't help.

I also went to Viewsonic for a more recent driver. They don't list one, but list many monitors that have the same description which is NOT a model number. For example, the description on mine is

    VX2453MH-LED. But the model # is: Model #: VS13716.

Of a long list of models mine (VX2453MH-LED) is missing. The closest is
VX2452MH-LED. There are no recent drivers. All drivers for mine are either older or the one I have is the most recent. (Standard_Monitor_Driver_Signed_Win10_x64) This doesn't show a creation date. It only show today's date, which I assume
    is my download date.

It seems to me that with the dearth of other Viewsonic monitors and a Windows 10 OS there should be a driver that rids my desktop of this dot-grid pattern spaced at about .25" vertical & horizontal across the whole screen. I've contacted Viewsonic
(this is Sunday) so I can't give their response to this. Doesn't Microsoft provide these drivers for their OS for various devices.

I have a Manual yes *Smile i have read it and it says: (Memory Recall: First installation factory settings will be loaded) (Memory Recall) On Monitor has appeared.. :p but it's a 2ms monitor, but how can i activate that, some guys say to me you can activate that option by enabling ACR-Function but when i enable that the contrast is way to high :/ but then the scaling time from the monitor is really fast.. should i leave ACR on or off? (I use this Monitor for my PS4)

    Cheers! *Cool
