Windows 10: Menu dialog box displayed on wrong monitor.

My computer has two monitors. Both have the same native resolution, 1920 x 1200. Many times when I move windows from one monitor to the other, the Menu bar drop downs remain on the original monitor. This happens with multiple apps, so I think it is something that Windows is doing.My Computer setup: I have two computers connected through a IOGear GCS1944 Dual View Display Port KVMP to the monitors, mouse and keyboard. The primary monitor is driven from the Display Port on the computers, and the secondary monitor is driven from the HDMI port, through an HDMI to DP adapter, My monitors are arrang

I suggest you to try making the other monitor as the main display and check if that helps. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press and hold Windows key +
   I, to open Settings.
   
2. Click on System and click on
   Display.
   
3. Now, click on the other monitor on which you want to see the prompt.
   
4. Scroll down and click on the check box Make this my main display.

Change folders displayed in common dialog boxes

Then I doubt the program in question is using the Common dialogs. Here's the Open dialog from Notepad after hiding the folders:

 

Windows 10 dialog box pops up in the wrong monitor

I want to keep the dialog boxes on the monitor in which the software they were created from, yet they keep popping up on the main monitor. I drag the software over and then take my wireless keyboard and mouse over to that monitor to get work done. When
the input dialog box pops up on the "main" monitor and not the monitor I am working with, it is a hassle. What is the solution?
