Windows 10: Merging family accounts

My wife and I somehow ended up in two seperate families. Her account has our daughter, mine has me and our three other kids. When I try to add my wife to my family, it says I can't because she is in another family. The help articles say that she needs to leave her 'family' to join mine, but she can't leave her family because our daughter, being under age, can't have no family organiser. For this reason she also can't remove our daughter from her 'family' to join ours.Are there any other work arounds so that we can all be in the same 'family'?

Merging Family accounts

I recently got married. We both have children and we both have family accounts and I am trying to merge the two family accounts together. As far as I've been able to figure out, to make this work I would need to completely close out the one family, join
the other, and then rebuild the child accounts on the closed family. Is there a better way to merge the two families?

 

How to delete an adult account in the Family Settings.

Hi,

To resolve your issue, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• As an adult in the family account, sign in with your Microsoft account.
• Under Your family, click
  Remove.
  
• Click the child account you want to remove, and click Remove.
• You will get an email confirmation once the child has been removed from the family.

Note: If you removed a Child account, it will be tagged as an "Orphaned account" and you will need to attach another "Parent account".
