Windows 10: Message Camera Blocked or Turned Off Tried Solutions Online, Still Not Working

After installing Microsoft updates to my computer I get a message that the camera has been turned off or blocked. The HP laptop I have does not have an "on/off" button for the camera. The F4 button in blank and the F8 button is "rewind". I have pushed them both and it has not resolved the problem. I have also pressed F6, and it did not resolve the problem. I have uninstalled the camera, restarted the computer, that did not solve the problem. I uninstalled the Windows updates, that did not resolve the problem. If you have the camera connected to the computer, I would suggest that you disconnect the camera and then try to open the Camera app.



If the camera app opens, follow the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + C” from your keyboard to open “Charms bar”.
• Select “Settings” option.
• Select “Permissions” option.
• Turn on “Allow this app to access your: Webcam and Microphone” option.
• Lose the app by pressing “Alt key + F4” from your keyboard.
• Reopen the Camera app.
• Connect your camera and then check how this app works.
