Windows 10: Message : "Disk consolidating" When running CHDSK

<p>Hello, I am running CHKDSK from "properties" and "tools" . And after defragmenting, which it did not need ( only 3%) but I thought was a good idea, I saw the message "Consolidating disk" . I was wondering what it means ? What EXACTLY is happening to the disk when it is being "Consolidated " ?</p><p></p><p>Now before you answer , I already looked up the same question here and read the answers. Now, If you are planning on explaining how defragmenting works, or have the audacity to give me this hyperlink : https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/filecab/2006/07/10/disk-defragmenter-faq/ , so you can fill some quota - don't. I will call upon a voodoo high priest so that you may spend two days on the toilet. If you don't know the answer , DO NOT TYPE ANYTHING !</p>

win7 32bit hardware disk is missing in disk defragmenter,A problem shows running CHDSK in every startup and it repeat again and again unless manually stop the operation

Disk management console view is not up-to-date

i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...




open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)


enter in
DISKPART
list disk

then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
type in

Select Disk 7
List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
ASSIGN


that should get the array up and running ready to use.
