    Hi,


    I have recently been getting the following message when I try and shut down my Toshiba Laptop:


    "Someone else is still using this PC. If you shut down now, you could lose unsaved work"


    This has been happening for the past few weeks. As such, I have not shut down my laptop and have just let it sleep. I'm worried about losing files and data (as I'm very amateurish with computers and don't know how to back-up).


    I notice that, when I go into task manager, I see a 'defaultuser 1 (11)' profile with the status 'Disconnected'. I have searched for people who have had the same or a similar message and someone mentioned that Avast antivirus could cause this problem - I have got Avast installed. The other suggestions for the problem I did not really understand.


    Can someone please explain to me - in a step-by-step way - how I can solve the problem which is causing this error message?

    Kasperskys shutting itself off

    I awoke this morning to a error message saying that kasperskys has encounter a error and shuts off, then I restart and about 10 mins later does it again. any suggestions?

    PC Build Steps

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
