Windows 10: Message to Repair on opening

Hi


This week I have come across a new message.


I have had returned a spreadsheet I created from a college, I click on it to open it, and I get a message saying that the file is damaged and I need to repair it.


I tell it to repair it and all it does is close Excel.


My college can open their copy as normal.


I suggested they place it in dropbox, I try to open it in dropbox and I get the same message, so instead I save it and then try to open it and the same happens again.



The only way to get the file open is to, open excel, locate the saved file, Click on Repair when I am prompted to and everything works


I have had the same issue with powerpoint files sent via Dropbox


Any one got any ideas?

I flashed my DCII-7970 with Ati flash and now it's not working

open a RMA with ASUS send the card in for repair if atiflash isn't listing both cards then there is no possibility for you to repair it

 

Programs not working


In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

 

Recover access database

Run the Compact and Repair utility. To do so, follow these steps:

• If the database is open, close it.
• On the Tools menu, point to Database Utilities, and then click Compact and Repair Database.
• In the Database to Compact From dialog box, select the file that you want to compact, and then click Compact.
• In the Compact Database Into dialog box, enter a new file name, and then click Save.
  
  If the compact and repair does not succeed, you will receive a message stating so. This means the damage is so severe that it cannot be corrected.
