Windows 10: Messed up start menu

So, I finally decided to upgrade to W10 from Windows 7, and it's cool and everything, actually liking it. The only thing that has gone wrong, is that I get this





(for those who don't know spanish, 'pendiente' means pending)

instead of this




what can I do to fix it? Since I've said goodbye to my beloved W7, I'd like to have my new OS at it's full capacity.

Thank you, It does make sense. I'll use it when that happens again. And yes, hope MS fixes it in the next update.

 

Start menu messed up

This happens once a week to me. What I do is:

(1) Navigate an explorer window to %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows

(2) Duplicate the file appsFolder.itemdata-ms.remote (this is your start menu layout file) and save that backup somewhere, even in the same directory as appsFolder.itemdata-ms.remote.bak.

(3) Pin that directory somewhere or save the shortcut link so next time this happens, you can restore it more quickly.

Hope that helps until Microsoft fixes it.

 

You can move those tiles around, Delete them and even add desktop programs You can also get customizing features on right click on any of them.
