    I've googled it at it keeps taking me to the same option go to privacy setting and click Camera/mic on but I can't because the primary off/on is disabled. So I cannot select which apps to allow use of the mic and camera.

    My son is back in school now and he's supposed to take part in the online classes with Zoom and it's quite difficult to do so without these features. I've disabled virus apps, got into safe mode and still I'm unable to click the slitter to on



    I've also tried to update drivers and install the Logitech C270 app

    Allow Messenger to use my camera and mic

    I can not use messenger on my laptop as it does not recognize the camera and mic. I am in settings, privacy, camera but Messenger is not listed as one of the apps that can use my camera. I do not see how I can add that to the list. It's the same for microphone
    - no place to add Messenger.

    I can only use Messenger on my cell phone to chat with camera.

    Any suggestions to resolve my problem would be appreciated.

    Camera and Microphone Privacy

    Hi Moustafa,

    This issue occurs due to permission issue, driver issue, license for an app is out of sync with the license installed on the computer or if the app is not updated. To give permission to Camera and Microphone app, you may follow
    these steps:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Select Privacy.
    • Look for Camera, make sure that “Let apps use my camera” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your camera as well.
    • Go back to Privacy and select Microphone, make sure that “Let apps use my microphone” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your microphone as well.

    How to stop annoying mic popup ?

    The thing that bugged me was the suggestion to go to privacy settings, but a setting of 'disable mic' is 'not allowed' and gives error message.
