Windows 10: Mic doesn't work

Discus and support Mic doesn't work in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I bought a new microphone jack 3.5 and my computer doesn't pick any sound.     Mic doesn't work


    I bought a new microphone jack 3.5 and my computer doesn't pick any sound. This problem already happened to me with earbuds with microphone that's why I bought a new mic. I tried everything I found on internet: Updating drivers, activating microphone on privacy tab on settings, making sure that it was enabled on sound tab on control panel, selected as main device... It shows up, but the green bars doesn't moves and if I turn up the volume and gain to max, I only hear noise, not even a sing of response. However, this mic works perfectly on other devices.

    Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

    I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

    I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

    My headphones microphone doesn´t work

    I recently updated my Asus laptop to windows 10 and noticed that my microphone doesn´t work anymore. Before it was working well and after the update it started using my laptops own mic and in settings i cant change input to anything

    Mic doesn't work

    USB Mic Problems.

    The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.
