    "Mic In" Jacks Broken/Not Working Windows 10.


    I'm using a pair of Steelseries Arctis 7 headphones with an mic in/line out connection. I was in the middle of a discord call when it suddenly stopped working. After some toubleshooting, this is the information I've found:The headset works fine with my phone, though it uses a different connector. The other microphone I tried to plug in to the "mic in"-jack didn't work either. All the settings are set up correctly so that the microphone should work input audio is allowed, all applications are allowed to access the mic, it's the default input device, etc.. Neither "mic in"-jack works I'm usin

    Mic socket not working

    The mic socket on my laptop abruptly stopped working. It just buzzes instead of recognizing any voice. It works with a USB adapter, so the mic isn't broken, and the socket recognizes when a device has been plugged in ("You just plugged a device into the audio jack"), but all it does is buzz. Is the mic socket just inexplicably broken?

    audio/mic jack


    i have a windows tablet with a dual headphones/microphone jack.
    i plug in a pair of earphones with a built in mic, the audio does come through the earphones but the mic is not used. the mic on the tablet is still being used.
    how can i get the mic on the earphones to work?
