Windows 10: Mic input not registering

Hello, I'm using windows 10 and have just had an issue with my headphones.They are connected with bluetooth and when I turned them on I only had 1 audio output available, and no audio inputs available. My headset has a built in headset mic, so I'm not sure why its not showing up.I also can't find anything in the sound settings indicating an existing microphone that might just be disabled. It also removed most of my available audio outputs, leaving only 1. I've already tried unpairing and repairing, checking system drivers and audio drivers for updates, checking for disabled devices, and restar

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

Ok so i tried all of that and i ran it through another device and it works on the other device so im not sure now. its not picking up the mic in any of the listed fixes. It's never done this before but when i logged on this morning it just wasnt registering

The issue could be because of the internal mic picking up sound even when the external device is pluuged in. If you have the RealTek HD Audi Manager installed on the machine, I would suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works for
you.

• Open RealTek HD Audio Manager and go to the
  Advanced tab.
  
• Check the boxes Separate all input jacks as independent input devices
  and Mute the internal output device, when external headphone is plugged in,
  and hit OK.
  
• Exit RealTek HD Audio Manager, restart the machine and see if the issue persists.
