Windows 10: Mic not working in games. Webcam not working in online calls. Xbox Game Bar doesn't open

Hello,I'm a Windows 11 user. After upgrading my Windows 10 to 11 version my mic stopped working in games as well as webcam doesnt work in calls mic works.After surfing at Internet i found solution to disable some settings in Xbox Game Bar, but i found that it doesnt open.I've tried all solutions from that question https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/windows-11-xbox-game-bar-not-working/83127bd4-e8bd-4e15-b229-a8ae6d183e1d. Nothing helped me. I cant downgrade to Windows 10 as 10 days downgrade period expired.Sincerely,Andrii Yerzhykevych

Microphone not working with Xbox game bar

My son is trying to record his playing on roblox using Xbox game bar. He is using a laptop on windows 10.

It was working fine a few days ago. Now he is having problems with the microphone. When he brings up the xbox game bar, (windows G), the menu says that the microphone is not working because of privacy settings.

When I go to the privacy settings for microphone, I gave permission to use the microphone for all the listed apps. But xbox game bar is not one of the listed apps. I also tried "reset" on the xbox game bar which did not help.

How can I give permission to the xbox game bar to access the microphone?

Microphone itself is working. I can use it on Cortana.

Try the following steps:

1. Repair Xbox Game Bar

Go to Settings and selecting "Apps and Features". Find "Xbox Game Bar" in the Apps & features list and select it. The "Advanced options" button should appear - click it. You will see the "Repair" button. If it doesn't work, Kindly click the Reset.

2. Uninstall Xbox Game Bar

Press Windows key + X

Select PowerShell(Admin)

Copy and paste the command below then press Enter

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay* | remove-appxpackage

Proceed to reinstall Xbox Game Bar

Go to Microsoft Store then Download again Xbox Game Bar

or copy and paste the command below then press Enter

Get-AppXPackage *Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Restart your computer

Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: rstrui.exe

Press Enter. This will open System Restore

Click the Next button.

Select the restore point at an earlier date where everything is still working.

Click Next then Finish
