Windows 10: Mic permissions enabled - but mic is not displaying attempted accessed by the application?

Hi There, So this one is specifically affecting one game - DayZ - all other applications hear and access my mic with no issues whatsoever, however, the oddity lies in that it isn't even attempting to connect to my mic which makes me wonder if there is possibly something in the windows backend that is preventing it from doing so. I have already done a clean install of the game to rule out something corrupted there, deleted everything down to %appdata% entries, no dice, and tried all methods of disabling all other sources except this one microphone and one headset, setting as defaults, enabling

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

If the Mic permission is required by 3rd party application, please let me know the names of those apps.

If there is any added functionality for these apps which requires Mic access it may need the permission. Hence please turn off the internet and allow the Mic access and check if there is any functionality which requires Mic access.

Please allow mic permission only if you trust the manufacturer of these apps.

 

Redirect application audio as mic audio


There is a app I use for my mic called WO mic and this plays live audio from my phone to the computer application, can I redirect the audio in the PC application as Mic audio for gaming? If not are there any applications I can download that can do this?
