Windows 10: Mic settings won't save

    Mic settings won't save


    My microphone is too loud. I've got a headset and I play video games where I need to use my mic. The problem is, it's always so loud.

    I've tried Settings > Sound > Input > Device Properties > Additional Device Properties. Then I changed it to 60% instead of 100%. It worked for about a minute and then it started being loud again. I checked settings and it was at 100%. The boxes in the Advanced tab are unticked. The game won't let me turn in down there.

    I won't know why it won't save. Please help me, thank you.

    Mic settings won't save

    USB Mic Problems.

    The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.
