Windows 10: Mic stops working after screen freezes for a second

This has started to happened just recently. I've had this laptop for over a year and had no issues until a couple days ago. When I am playing a game my screen would freeze for 1-2 seconds and then other people will not be able to hear me anymore. I have no issues with my screen after the freezing and also no audio issues with hearing others, but other people can't hear me anymore. If I restart my latpop other people can hear fine until the screen freezes and then the audio gets messed up. Whenever I try talking after the audio is messed up all they hear is static and a high pitched sound. When

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

This might occur when some of the mic setting got corrupted.

I would suggest you to try running Recording audio troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the Search area on the taskbar and select
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Select Recording Audio under
  Sound and follow the on screen.

Why has bluetooth mic stopped working.

My Bluetooth mic has stopped working on my Windows 10 phone. The sound is connected OK but the mic won't work. I've tried resetting everything, disconnecting/reconnecting, rebooting but nothing seems to help. The windows phone uses its internal mic and
ignores the Bluetooth mic. Anyone any suggestions?
