Windows 10: mic working but no input in apps

Hi, i use asus zenbook 14 2021 model, i7 11th gen. mic in my laptop works according to the test mic results in settings. But there is no input in any of the apps other than cortana, i've checked the privacy setting of those apps discord, whatsapp web, zoom, chrome etc they're all allowed to use the mic but still there's no input please help?

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

 

Front Panel Headphones and Mic not working.

Hey Everyone,

Mobo : ASUS M2N MX SE
Processor : AMD Athlon X2 5200+
OS : Windows XP Professional SP2 x86

My Rear panel Speakers and mic works all fine. I got a new set of headphones(with mic) when i connect it to the front panel they don't work. NO SOUND OUTPUT.

I updated the audio drivers. I tried a few many things but I still can't get them running.
My default Sound Manager is Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Please help me get my Front Panel working. A step-by-step guide would be better.

Cant get mic to work

i added you to skype but havent seen you on since.

In the windows control panel, does it have seperate inputs for line in and mic in? most often line in is blue colored while mic in is pink... they ARE used for different things (mic is amplified, line in isnt)
