Windows 10: Mic works in Windows Sounds but wont in any other program

I can get the green bar to move up and down in Sounds-Recording tab in Windows 10, But when I go into discord or anything that uses the mic (Skype, FBook Calls, Ingame VOIP ect.) and has a visible bar feedback nothing shows on the bar. I gave access to any app to use mic. Updated drivers (even paid for a program to find all and update it lol I know but its all I could think of) Made sure gain was up on Audio interface and in windows sound settings. Even checked the boost of 0, 10, 20 still nothing.

MXL 990 XLR Condenser Mic

U-Phoria UM2 Behringer Audio interface 48v Phantom Power

At this point im not even sure what I see in Windows Sounds is really picking up audio. But its just telling me the feedback my Audio Interface is showing on its EQ. And windows is not really getting the sound but just the data saying the mic is working outside of the computer.



Please help spent almost 9hrs trying to fix this and all videos and tips I found are not geared to my problem.

Front Panel Headphones and Mic not working.

Hey Everyone,

Mobo : ASUS M2N MX SE
Processor : AMD Athlon X2 5200+
OS : Windows XP Professional SP2 x86

My Rear panel Speakers and mic works all fine. I got a new set of headphones(with mic) when i connect it to the front panel they don't work. NO SOUND OUTPUT.

I updated the audio drivers. I tried a few many things but I still can't get them running.
My default Sound Manager is Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Please help me get my Front Panel working. A step-by-step guide would be better.

Mic wont work

Hi,

We suggest you to disable auto enhancement in sound settings. To do that follow the steps below:

• Right click the speaker icon on Windows taskbar.
• Click Recording devices.
• Click Recording tab.
• Right click Microphone.
• Click Properties.
• Click Enhancements tab.
• Tick the disable all enhancements box.

Let us know how it goes.

 

Headset mic not working

Hi,

This might occur when some of the mic setting got corrupted.

I would suggest you to try running Recording audio troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the Search area on the taskbar and select
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Select Recording Audio under
  Sound and follow the on screen.
