Windows 10: Mice/Pointer Devices Section just Gone on Device Manager along with touchpad usage. No idea...

Hello. Here is my issue. I have a Samsung laptop that had been working perfectly fine. That said, the ability to use the touchpad just stopped all of a sudden. I was still able to touch the screen and move around, so I figured it would come back after restarting the computer. However, I reset it several times and explored many Mouse based options and websites trying to help. I discovered by opening the Device Manager section that the Mouse section is just gone. I also checked the Mouse Properties area and the Hardware section showed that it was blank as well. Everything I am seeing about reins

Can't find "mice or pointer device" in device manager

I posted in late December about my mouse and touch pad not working after upgrading to Windows 10. I received instructions to resolve this, however, when I go to Device Manager I don't see any link/listing for "mice and other pointing devices".

Now what do I do?

 

Mice and other pointing devices missing from Device Manager

My laptop is set for auto update. After an update loaded today my touchpad quit working. I tried several thing to turn it on but nothing worked. When I went to my device manager there is no longer Mice and Other Pointing Devices, listed. How can I fix
this?

Sorry for the delay in reply.



I suggest you to roll back the drivers and check if that helps.

Try the following steps:

• 
  Right click on the start icon and choose device manager
  
• 
  In device manager, right on the touchpad under Mice and other pointing devices.
  
• 
  Click on Rollback under driver tab.
