Windows 10: Microphone audio blasts to extreme volume while playing games

Hi just want to say FIRST. MASSIVE VOLUME WARNING. please turn your volume down 20 maybe 20-30 percent, or it will hurt your ears listening to what my mic is doing.https://youtu.be/ztOK9XYas0sFor a while now, while im playing a game and talking in calls with my friends, suddenly with no warning or no context everyone in the call would start screaming at me to turn my mic off, and then following that up with muting me for a bit.This confused me a lot, and when asking what was wrong later everyone would tell me my mic sounded horrible and that they couldn't describe what the sound

Microphone input volume settings changes when playing games

Step 1: When playing the Games, click on the Volume icon and follow the below steps:

1. Click on the Volume icon and click on Mixture.

2. Now set the volume correctly for the games and check if it helps.

Step 2: If the issue persists, try running the Audio troubleshooter and check:

a. Type troubleshooting in the search box on taskbar.

b. Click troubleshooting in the search results.

c. Click "View all" and then click "Playing Audio".

d. Click "Next" and follow on-screen instructions.

No sound while playing audio and video files.

Hi,

I appreciate if you could answer to a few questions to narrow down to the issue.

• Which is the application that you are using to play the files?
• Did you try the same on a different player?
• Did you perform any troubleshooting steps?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to check if the volume is set low or in mute state in Volume Mixer.

• Right click on sound icon.
• Open Volume Mixer check for the application that you are playing the files with and increase the volume and check.

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to run “Playing audio” troubleshooter to diagnose and fix the issue.

Follow these Steps to run Playing Audio Troubleshooter in Windows 10.

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

2. Select Troubleshooting.

3. Select View all on the top left corner.

4. Click on Playing audio.

I been having trouble with the volume in the mic settings. I tried all I know please help.

This is the three devices that are under the "Sounds, video, and game controllers" tab:

• AMD High Definition Audio Device
• CyberLink Webcam Virtual Drivers
• Realtek High Definition Audio

Under the "Audio input and output" tab:

• Mic in at front panel (black) (Realtek High Definition Audio)
• Microphone (Realtek High Definition Audio)
• Realtek HD Output 2nd output (Realtek High Definition Audio)
• Speaker/HD (Realtek High Definition Audio)

I use microphone headset to talk to people while playing an online game. The program I use is "Ventrilo". I tried the steps you posted and the mic volume is still muting automatically.
