Windows 10: Microphone Audio Muffled Severely

Hi. I recently got a new laptop and it worked perfectly. However, recently it has started really muffling my mic to the extent that you cannot understand what is being said and sometimes no audio comes through at all. I know it is not my microphone because I am having the same problem with several different inputs. Does anyone know what is going on or having any tips?

In order to help you resolve issues with the microphone on headset, we suggest the you run the built in troubleshooter in you PC. Here are the steps:

• In the Search Box, type Troubleshoot and press
  Enter.
• Look for and select Recording Audio, and press Run the troubleshooter.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

Headset microphone sounds muffled, quiet, and plays desktop audio through it.

I have a headset that works fine on another device, but for some reason on my desktop, no matter what port I use, all the audio from the desktop gets played through the microphone and the microphone is really quiet and muffled. The only way you can hear
anything from the microphone is boosting the volume to the maximum allowed. I have tried reinstalling drivers, windows, disabling and configuring all sorts of options in the sound control panel and nothing fixes it, does anyone know how to solve this?

 

CK-15w Bluetooth Microphone muffled.

Hi, I have two Nokia CK-15w bluetooth handsfree kits in two Ford Mondeos. They are wired in using autoleads 06-092b mute leads to the stereo. The first one works great and sounds crystal clear, but the second one sounds muffled from the microphone, ie.
the caller can hardly hear you when you are talking through the microphone. If you get really close to the microphone it sounds clear, but if you are sat normally in the drivers seat, it sounds muffled, and as if you are speaking from the boot. I have tried
a different microphone on it but it makes no difference. Any advice would be gratefully received.

If the unit does turn out to be faulty, how do we go about getting it repaired or changed, bearing in mind it is brand new!!
