Windows 10: Microphone built in tablet

Hello! I have a tablet KIANO with Windows 10 and after an upgrade (system) I have to do a lot of tests to recognize my microphone built in tablet. After last Windows upgrade I tried anything but the only way to use an microphone is useing by buetooth (with poor quality comparing when Works the built in one)!!! An friend of mine useing a similar system but other Mark (MYRIA) has this problem too... Maybe the Windows system developers do not take in consideration any low budget products on the market... Any sugestion to keep my toy in good condition (function)? Thanks!

Built in microphone not working

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

Method 1: I suggest you to set microphone as default device and check.

• 
  Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click "Recording devices"
  
• 
  Right click on the blank space in the popped up window and then select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".
  
• 
  Right click on Microphone and then click "Enable".
  
• 
  Highlight the microphone and then choose "Set as Default Device".
  
• 
  Click Apply and OK.
  

Step 2: Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.

  Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled. Follow the steps given to check that:
  
• 
  Right click on the volume icon and select “Recording devices”.
  
• 
  Now, Right Click on an empty space and select, “Show disconnected devices” and “Show disabled devices”.
  
• 
  Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.
  

And also update the audio drivers from the manufacturer web site and install.

Method 1: Hardware Troubleshooter

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Microphone. Refer these steps:

• 1. Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
  
  2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
  
  3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
  
  4. Run the Hardware and devices.

Check if it helps.



If the issue persists, I suggest you to download and install the latest audio drivers from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

SurfaceBook built in microphone

SB had issue (twice now) where the Realtek built-in microphone didn't work when I was skyped. Rather than shutting down and rebooting the whole SB, I tried in Sound/Properties to disable the device so I could then enable the device.

But when I disabled, the microphone disappeared completely. Tried reinstalling drivers, uninstalled Realtek drivers, and reinstalled. Bluetooth headset works. Plugged in (3.5 mm) headset works - but not the built in microphone as it doesn't even appear
in the list.

Called MS tech support, but all they know how to do is read off a script. There last suggestion was to re-install the machine. Sounds like a sledgehammer for a fly solution.

Any ideas?
