Windows 10: Microphone detected in control panel, but no mic output

My mic on my headset is no longer working with windows. im using my beats solo 3 connected with the 3.5mm cable to the front panel connector on my pc and this worked perfectly for about a year. then after upgrading my graphics card i went and updated my drivers for my graphics card MSI ventus 3060 ti and motherboard MSI b450 tomahawk max. Then my pc stopped receiving input from my microphone on my headphones. i have triedchecking windows privacy settings and allowing all apps access to my microphonedeleting and reinstalling all drivers turning off fast startuppurchasing a splitter and plu

Front Panel Mic Not been detected

So I am using a gaming headset and a splitter to be able to use the mic of it. the problem is that the front panel jack for the mic doesn't detect the microphone. The rear panel does work and the mic turns on when connected to the back. A weird thing is
that if I connect the headphone part of the splitter into the microphone jack I can listen as if I connected it to the headphone jack. It detects headphones but no microphone. The rest of the front panel works normally is just the microphone jack.

I have already tried reinstalling realtek, I disable and enable realtek from detecting front panel.

Any suggestions?

My motherboard is gigabyte H110N

 

microphone not detected

Hi, i just bought a new headset and the microphone is not detected in the control panel sound device list thing. There is no entry for it at all. Does anyone know how to detect a device that won't show up? My previous headset mic worked fine.

 

Mic/Headphone ports not working correctly - Acer Aspire 7745

The speakers are 'plugged in' already as it is a laptop. With no external mic, headphones or external speakers plugged in, the Sound Control Panel lists three things under 'Playback' - HDMI, 'Speakers' and 'Realtek Digital Output' - the Speakers under 'Playback' is set as the default.

Under 'Recording' with no external mic plugged in these are listed - 'Microphone', 'Line In' and 'Stereo Mix' (Disabled) - the microphone (in this case, the internal one) is set to 'Default' under 'Recording' as well.

I don't have my headset here to test an external mic right now, but with normal external headphones plugged in, there is no change to the Sound Control Panel under 'Playback' - the same three listings (HDMI, 'Speakers' and 'Realtek Digital Output') with 'Speakers' set as the Default. If I make a noise, say, play a video, I can see the sound meters move to the sound, but no sound comes out of the headphones.
