Windows 10: Microphone devices not detected.

My laptop is not recognizing my audio input devices. I have tried the integrated microphone, a wired headset with a mic, and Bluetooth earbuds; the device has detected none. The input devices also do not appear in the device manager, but their corresponding output devices are all present and fully functional. If it helps, I believe the problem began after doing a test call in MS Teams. It continued to play the ringtone even after the test ended and the app was closed, so I restarted the machine. The ringtone stopped, but I began experiencing these issues shortly afterI have tried reinstalling

I suggest you to run a Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

• Search for Troubleshooting in the
  Search box, and run it.
• Select view all in the left pane of troubleshooting Window.
• Click on the Hardware and Devices, and follow the
  on-screen instructions.

Headset microphone not being detected in recording devices

• Which build version of Windows 10 is on your computer? To check, click
  Start, type winver, and press Enter. For example, 14393.1066.
• Did you make any changes to your computer before this started happening?
• Were you previously able to use your microphone on your computer, or is this the first time you tried to use it?
• Does the microphone oh your headset work when plugged to a different device?
• Can you tell us exactly what troubleshooting steps you tried in the past? This is important so that we could provide other steps that you haven't tried yet.

 

microphone not detected

Hi, i just bought a new headset and the microphone is not detected in the control panel sound device list thing. There is no entry for it at all. Does anyone know how to detect a device that won't show up? My previous headset mic worked fine.
